Hello!At Ease Events KC offers a hands-on wedding and event planning internship in Kansas City designed for students studying event management, hospitality, communications, and marketing. This hybrid internship provides real-world experience in wedding planning, event design, vendor coordination, event execution, and social media content creation across live events and styled productions.
Interns gain direct exposure to the full event lifecycle, from concept development and client communication to on-site execution and post-event storytelling.
Program DetailsSEASON: Spring, Summer or Fall
DURATION: 12-16 Weeks
HOURS: 10-15 hours per week

Wedding planning process from inquiry to execution
Event design and styling development
Vendor coordination and communication
Live event production and timeline management
Social media content creation for weddings and events
Client experience and hospitality standards in real event

Planning & ProductionAssist with timelines, layouts, and planning documents
Support vendor communication and logistics confirmations
Organize client materials and proposals
Event DaysAssist with setup and teardown
Help manage timelines and vendor flow
Support guest experience and event execution
Take ownership of small but important details
Learn how to pivot when things don’t go as planned
Design & CreativeContribute to mood boards and design decks
Assist with sourcing décor and rentals
Support styling for weddings and shoot
Content & Social MediaCapture behind-the-scenes content during events and setup
Assist in creating Instagram Reels, TikToks, and story content
Document design details, vendor installs, and key moments
Support post-event content organization and selection
Contribute ideas for social media strategy and storytelling
Assist in maintaining brand consistency across platforms
Enrollment in a college or university program
Availability for select weekends and event dates
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfort with iPhone content capture and social media platforms
